Our inheritance is, in a word, heaven. It is the sum total of all God has promised us in salvation. Words related to inheritance in Scripture are portion and heritage. First Peter describes this inheritance further, saying that we have been born again "into an inheritance. A Living Hope 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

By His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power for the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the.

The first, and most important aspect of our inheritance, is composed of God and Christ Themselves. The second aspect of our inheritance is life lived in the fullness of the Spirit of God.

The Fullness of Resurrection Life Our introduction to life lived in the Spirit of God may have occurred as we spoke in tongues for the first time. An inheritance is promised when Inheritance of Our Salvation book is alive, but granted when they die. Generally, inheritances pass from a parent to a child, or children.

In the New Testament, believers in Jesus Christ are referred to as God's children (John –13). The saints' inheritance is the choicest form of life, and peace, and joy. We come to live with Christ, in Christ, for Christ, as Christ: we rise in him to fellowship with the Father, and with the church of the Firstborn.

One heart sympathizes with all the purposes of God, and we joy in God himself. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

Our spiritual inheritance is the land of promise and can only be attained by living a life of faith and obedience of which requires continually going from faith to faith. When we are consumed with the carnality of our mind and worldly pleasures, we are forsaking our spiritual inheritance for something that is temporal.

(14) Are they not all ministering spirits?--In this verse and the preceding is repeated the contrast of Hebrewsin reversed words "ministering spirits" at once recall the "ministers" and "winds" (expressed in Greek and Hebrew by the same word as "spirits") spoken of in Hebrews In the LXX.

this word "minister" is usually applied to those who stood before God in His earthly. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

Ephesians ESV / 8 helpful votes HelpfulNot Helpful. Our salvation is solely and only and wholly the work of God, but through Christ it is wrought. And also, with the Holy Spirit, verse 13 notes that we have been sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, the guarantee.

Salvation has to do with the transfer of kingdoms. We have been translated from the kingdom of darkness in to the kingdom of His Son (Col ). With this change of kingdoms comes a change of identity. Salvation involves the following: 1. Satan is silenced. The accusation of our enemy has been silenced by the power of God’s choosing of us.

"The Blessing of Our Inheritance" EphesiansAugust 2, - Pastor Dan Mandigo The Book of Ephesians - Session 1 "Why our church no longer plays Bethel or. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God.

Get this from a library. Our inheritance of salvation; a lawyer's interpretation of the gospel of God's grace. [C Gordon Brownville]. A Prayer for a Great Inheritance By Sharon Jaynes.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with. Further, the salvation referred to in Heb. is not only to be realized in the future, but it is also an inherited salvation. And the thought of inheritance further distinguishes the salvation in this verse from the salvation previously seen in Eph.

for the salvation which Christians presently possess is NOT an inherited salvation. [The Holy Spirit] “is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.” (Ephesians ) “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” (Ephesians ).

Our inheritance is not earned by our lived-out righteousness (Romans –17; Galatians ), but belonging to the family and being an heir is confirmed by it. “If by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live” (Romans ).

In him you also, who have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and have believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, which is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

God's great desire for his people is that we feel secure in his love and in his power. Phillip Sinitiere’s book, Salvation with a Smile, chronicles the meteoric rise of the Osteen family and of Lakewood Church in American Evangelicalism. In this book Sinitiere’s amibition is “to explain Joel Osteen and Lakewood Church’s cultural significance in light of American religious history” (10).

Sinitiere accomplishes this and more. First, the book of Hebrews tells us that "By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to set out for a place that he was to receive as an inheritance, not knowing where he was going." (Hebrews ) Every Protestant will passionately agree that the subject of Hebrews 11 is saving faith—the kind that pleases God and wins his approval (Heb.

our salvation nearer than when we believed" (Rom. ) "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. To an inheritance incorruptible, and .Open your Bible, if you will now, to Romans chapter 5.

What a joy it is in my heart to see a great congregation like this, a full church, for the study of the Word of God, so thrilling, so exciting.
